Profiling

S-8 decking is a fairly popular material that is widely used in industrial and residential construction. It is considered a wall, so it is usually used for facades: internal and external wall cladding, as well as the construction of blind fences. But these are not all ways to use the C-8 profiled sheet. You can learn more about the technical characteristics, methods of application and features if you read this article to the end.
Profiled sheets of decking C-8 are made by cold rolling galvanized steel sheets on special high-capacity automated equipment. For the manufacture of C-8 profiled sheets, galvanized steel with a polymer coating with a thickness of 0.5 mm - 0.7 mm is taken and trapezoidal corrugations 8 mm high are created on it. The width of the base is 62.5 mm, and the distance between the “waves” is 52.5 mm. A sheet of finished products can have a length of 0.5 to 12 meters. For external attractiveness and resistance to aggressive external factors, S-8 decking is covered with colored polymers. They can be of various shades and have a smooth glossy surface.
According to the standards, the requirements for C-8 profiled sheets are as follows:
1. Minor abrasions and damages are allowed on the front side of the sheet, which are not reflected in the integrity of the protective coating.
2. Dimensional deviations are possible: profile height +/- 1 mm, sheet width +/- 8 mm, sheet length +/- 10 mm.
3. The crescent pattern of S-8 decking should not exceed 1 mm per 1 m of length for a profile up to 6 m long; 1.5 mm per 1 m of length - with a profile length of more than 6 m.
The size, width, radii of curvature and wave depth, as well as the thickness of galvanized steel with a polymer coating in places of curvature are not regulated.
