In poultry farming, production efficiency directly depends on the conditions in which the birds are kept. A poultry house must provide a stable microclimate, protect against temperature fluctuations, draughts and moisture, and be convenient for caring for poultry. That is why more and more farms are switching to the construction of poultry houses made of profiled sheet metal and sandwich panels – materials that combine technological efficiency, durability and energy efficiency.
Profiled sheet metal is used as the main building material for walls and roofs. PK-20, NS-35, H-44 or H-57 profiles are most often suitable for poultry house roofs, as they can withstand significant wind and snow loads. For walls, C-8, C-10 or NS-20 are usually chosen, which allow for the creation of lightweight but durable structures.
Since poultry houses are characterised by high humidity due to watering and ventilation systems, corrosion protection is an important factor. The minimum galvanisation standard of 225 g/m² guarantees the durability of profiled sheet metal even in aggressive environments. The availability of modern types of coatings with increased resistance also makes such buildings durable.
In poultry farming, temperature control is crucial. Chickens, turkeys and ducks need a stable temperature for normal growth and productivity. Sandwich panels, consisting of a metal coating and a layer of insulation, provide high thermal insulation performance. They prevent overheating in summer and heat loss in winter. In addition, the smooth surface of the panels facilitates quick cleaning and disinfection, which is a mandatory requirement in poultry farming. Modern special coatings used in the production of sandwich panels ensure the reliability, durability and functionality of premises for decades.
The main advantages of building poultry houses from modern materials
The construction of poultry houses from profiled sheet metal and sandwich panels is a modern approach that meets the requirements of intensive poultry farming. Such structures help to maintain a stable microclimate, facilitate poultry care, and reduce heating and ventilation costs. As a result, farmers not only get a reliable building, but also the opportunity to significantly increase the efficiency of their farms.
